In the absence of a pub, his smithy had become the town's meeting place for gossip and news. That hadn't been the plan - if he'd foreseen that, he would have chosen another of the many professions he'd mastered over the years that he could practice in relative anonymity. Kagome, however, had quickly grown attached to the small, suffering community.
